It's been a rather busy couple of weeks. Rodney was searching the internet for cars that I might be interested in since I said that it would be nice to have a convertible for the summer months. We tossed around the idea of a Dodge Charger, or maybe a Crossfire. I wasn't even sure that I wanted to even spend the money on a car. Anyway, Rodney found a 1993 Dodge Viper at a used car dealer up in Waterville. I have been lusting after one of those since we saw one at a car dealer when they first came out. The idea of a convertible, 10 cylinders with all that horsepower made me giddy. Never expecting to be able to own one, it was worship from afar.
We took the car for a ride last week and it was amazing. The speed, the handling, it was all that a speed freak could hope for. With it only having a little under 4400 miles on it, it was calling my name.
The drive home from Waterville on the highway was so much fun, I couldn't wipe the smile off of my face. I was smart enough to follow Rodney in the truck, because giving the car it's head, I would have been flying down the highway doing at least 100mph, and loving every minute of it.
Complete strangers come up to us and ask us about the car, lots of comments and compliments everywhere we go. I have to admit, the attention is addicting. The bad thing is having to park my baby in the garage with winter coming, which happens to be way too long in this state.
In the mean time, I plan to get in as much time in the seat as I can while the weather is nice.
Hopefully, we will have nice weather up until December, like last year.
