I have been neglectful in posting on a regular basis, mainly because I had a major brain fart and entered the wrong email address when blogger moved my account. With much thanks to my good friend, Sheri, I am back up and running with scissors. I still blame blogger, my thoughts are, if it ain't broke, don't friggin ' fix it.
Anyway, camping is in full swing now. The mosquitos are out in full force, and I am forever grateful that we have a screenroom on the front of my camper. Those little blood thirsty little bastards find a way in no matter what lengths you go to. I was trying desparately to sleep in the morning that Rodney went fishing with Gary, and I heard the tell-tale high pitched whine of a mosquito, and ended up thrashing around to try and smush the thing, and it took me at least 5 minutes of chasing the mother around the bedroom before I managed to flatten the sucker.
By the time he died, my hand was stinging, and there was no more sleep to be had that morning. Supposedly there is a reason for every creature on this earth, but I have to seriously wonder about mosquitos, fleas, ticks, black flies, and my personal fave, spiders. (I know that the last critter has a purpose, but ewwww......)
We have yet to fire up the slushpuppy machine this year. We have just been too damn busy with other projects. We went to camp last Thursday, and our first order of business was the aforementioned screenroom. Since in his wisdom, the man decided that it would be a MUCH better idea to go fishing with Gary instead of putting up the bug-barrier. As were were sorting out pieces and swatting more than we were working, I couldn't help but express my displeasure by commenting" I am so glad you decided to go fishing instead of getting this put up before the bugs came out" Fishing isn't usually an issue with me, but there are priorities when you are in the woods in May.
I am off to get another couple of estimates on carpet and laminated flooring for the living/diningroom. I dread the thought of moving furniture that we just moved in, but I have to let go of my avacado carpet.
