At long last, the weather is improving, in that the sun is shining more often and I can see bare ground in many places. Spring is so slow to come to the north. I am used to Virginia, when this time of year the daffodils and croecus are blooming and the grass is turning green. It's such an awakening.
Christopher called yesterday afternoon to see what we were doing, planning on coming up for a visit after he got home from work. It's funny, and I mentioned it to him before, that I think that we spoke and saw him more often when we lived in Rumford. NO! I am not moving back to Rumford, but I will remind Chris that we do like to see him. Anyway, I was planning roast chicken for dinner and invited him to join us. Since he lives by himself, I always think that he is not eating well, and even though he works at Amatos, it's just not the same as a home cooked meal. He's not wasting away by any means, but it's just a mom thing. At least it is for me. After dinner, the weather was still nice, so we set out for a walk around the circle. On our way back, we were able to meet more of our neighbors. We had met Mark, who lives directly across from us, but his wife was inside the first time we spoke. She was on her way out for her own walk last night, so we stopped to introduce ourselves and another neighbor was driving down the street, and he stopped as well and he ended up there so long, he turned off his Jeep. Everyone we have met so far have been really great, and we all have things in common, namely NASCAR. Rodney is in heaven when he can talk racing, and Dan, (the guy in the Jeep), happens to be a Tony Stewart fan....big ugh there!!! I will try not to hold that against him. They assured us that everyone tends to look out for everyone else, and it was nice to know that there are still neighbors that care about each other. I am so glad we are here.
Sheri sent me some awesome CD's to burn and I can hardly wait to listen to them all. I'm trying to broaden my music horizons and my newest love is of celtic music. It is so relaxing and soothing. I would also like to get some classical music to listen to when I need some down time. Man, I must be getting old!!!
